How to make $500 a month in dividends?

Post by MarketMavin »

In order to get a dividend of $500 per month, you would definitely need a portfolio of stocks that pay dividends and have a good yield. This means you would have to have about $150,000 in stocks that pay dividends to earn $500 per month if it has an average yield of 4%. By calculation, it would be $6000 per year. But you would need to diversify the investments into reputable companies.

That is a very sensible explanation. Alternatively, I will advise to reinvest dividends at the beginning so that your portfolio can compound quickly.

That is true, however it also lies in the ability to select the combination of high-yield and growth stocks. Depending on a single sector will also put your earnings in jeopardy.
