Bitcoin is very robust, however, that does not make it risk free. Technically, the blockchain is protected by a system of network and cannot disappear overnight . But not all the experts are so sure because Nobel laureate Eugene Fama has forecast that Bitcoin may reach as far as zero and investor Jim Rogers has also critiqued the possibility of its collapse .

Therefore, although it is not likely that disappearance may occur in the near future, Bitcoin is still a speculative asset that has some long-term risk.

Bitcoin will always be around because it is decentralized to such an extent that, if it is to disappear, every single miner, node, and exchange would have to go down with it. So, it means that it can never happen. However, it could be basically made worthless by regulation or loss of investor confidence

I agree that it is impossible for bitcoin to disappear, but its relevance may decline with time.
