In order to calculate crypto profits, one has to subtract the price at which the asset was purchased and the price at which it was sold. Assume you purchased 1 coin at a price of $500, and then sold it at a price of $800, you will end up gaining $300 worth of bitcoin or profit (ignoring the commission).

When calculating your cryptocurrency profit, it's very important to not forget to add the transaction fees. That's how your calculations would be accurate.
